Visual Arts

Education in Visual arts provides opportunities for all the students to perceive; respond to and create and communicate through images, allowing them to experience and apply throughout their lives the power, ideas and emotions expressed in visual images. Visual Arts will include Clay pottery, Paper Calligraphy, Art &Craft Animation, Photography Technology etc.. Clay Pottery

Pottery in India has an ancient history and is one of the most tangible and iconic elements of regional art. Today, pottery thrives as an art form in India, and it is slowly gaining awareness in functional items as well. Various platforms, including potters' markets and online pottery boutiques have contributed to this trend. As an institution we promote this trendy art form and bring the children closer to the Indian culture! Well qualified artisans will acquaint the children with the finer points of this art. In our Clay/Ceramic Room we intend to introduce youngsters to the wonderful world of clay. It is a place where getting dirty and making a mess is a part of being creative! We teach kids how to make artistic pieces out of a lump of wet clay. They use their hands to shape the clay, also use other clay modelling tools as well as the potter’s wheel. Children are encouraged to explore their creativity and use their imagination to make wonderful keepsakes that will last forever.

Arts

Art as an activity in the early stages involves many motions such as holding or scribbling which are essential for the growth of motor skills in young children. For young children making art or just talking about it provides opportunities to learn words for colour, shapes and action. Of course the acquaintance with art keeps changing with the change in age. Our Art Room suggests ‘Anyone can learn to draw and paint’! Children will learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting and sketching. Once kids are proficient in their drawing skills, they will progress into the exploration of different colouring/painting mediums along with painting techniques. They will also be taught the technique of colour mixing and the proper use and care of materials. They will also be taught how to express their feelings on paper. They will be trained to understand the object’s size and placement and they will also explore different mediums.

Craft

Craft – “The art of combining things in a way “ Creativity is one of those words that is bursting vitality. For a child who steps in to a craft room feels delighted and usually is under high anticipation as to what would unfold on his/ her desk that day. Creations will spring up gradually sometimes and swiftly at other times depending on the type of discussions they have with the craft teacher and the classmates. Exclamations and disappointed groans will make up the ambience of the Craft room when children will utilize their creativity to create artistic craft work. A child while involving in craft activity learns sharing which improves social interaction and co-operation. Craft involves festive craft, card making, book binding, collage, quilling, paper craft, doll making etc. Animation: Watching animated cartoon shows and movies is a hot favourite of children. We aspire to teach children how a cartoon film is made or how are animated movies made. Acquainting the kids to the history of animation and also teaching them various animation techniques shall be done in our animation lab under the guidance of experts. Animation is the process of creating motion and shape change illusion by means of the rapid display of a sequence of static images that minimally differ from each other. Animators are artists who specialize in the creation of animation and we want that some future animators be given to the world by Lucky International School.
